		<description><![CDATA[Viking Tour’s Southern Classic a Success Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour / Atlanta, GA by InsidePOOL Staff The Viking Cue Amateur-Advanced Southern Classic took place the week of November 18-23 at Mr.Cues II in Atlanta, GA, and was presented by Ozone Billiards and MxMBilliards.com.  Over 304 players showed up to vie for their part of the $22,810 in prize funds up for grabs and hosted players from eleven states.  The event kicked off with a 6-ball tournament that drew in 60 entries and was won by local player Horace Godwin. The one-pocket tournament began Wednesday night with a field of 41 participants and was won by Randy Jordan from Lagrange, GA. Thursday night saw the kick-off of the 8-ball tournament with 67 players, with Travis Dorn claiming first place.  The grand finale, a $6,000-added 9-ball tournament that offered a $20 entry fee for players that had participated in any one of the previous tournaments of the week, drew in a whopping 108 players.  The participants began play Friday night and continued until Sunday evening.  Randy Jordan once again made his way to first place undefeated to walk away with $3,000.  The players also had several different mini tournaments that consisted of [...]]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Tyler Takes First Viking Championship Billiards Event Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour / Atlanta, GA by InsidePOOL Staff The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour held its first of five $2,500-added National Championship Series August 9-10. Hosted by Mr. Cues II in Atlanta, GA, a grand total of 106 participants flocked to vie for the $1,525 first-place prize, ultimately won by Billy Tyler. Saturday night featured an eight-player, amateurs-only, winner-takes-all mini event. The format was a race-to-7, single-elimination event that Travis Dorn from Abeville, SC, was the victor in, claiming the top prize of $800.   Sunday featured a mini tournament of 16 amateur-only players competing for $500 winner-takes-all prize fund. The format for the Sunday mini tournament was race to 5, single elimination and was won by Shane Little from Howell, MI.   The main event, which kicked off Saturday, drew in 82 participants and was packed with action from the start. Jason Stemen defeated Tyler in the first set—from a 3-all tie, there was no stopping him, as he racked up four racks in a row to win 7-3.
